ROPER BAR CROSSING

The Roper Bar crossing is an exquisite example of nature in the Northern Territory of Australia. I have, since retiring, been experimenting with various mediums to capture the beauty in this wonderful landscape. This painting has been created using water based oil paints, using both brush and pallet knife to create texture and depth.

Artist Statement: Roswyn Rennie is an aspiring artist and resident of Darwin since 1981. As a child she loved to draw and paint, then at age 64, after retiring from a successful career as a Medical Laboratory scientist in pathology, she completed her studies in Visual arts at Charles Darwin University. Further to this study she has diversified her skills and enjoys working and experimenting with other mediums, while enjoying the friendship and communication with other likeminded Darwin artists and their different interests.
