BEAUTY IN THE BREAKDOWN 2
$450

This car would have once represented a much loved, hard-earned shiny status symbol, coveted by many. She may have had many lives before she came to be abandoned, rendered useless and reduced to desert litter – parts of her scattered amongst the spinifex. Whilst far from carrying out the purpose for which she was intended, she has evolved into a sculptural art installation – something other than a disused mode of transport. She’s now a head-turner photographed by thousands, aesthetically changing as she ages therein becoming more interesting. If the viewer chooses to see her this way, there is indeed beauty in the breakdown.
