Artist Statement: Lillian went to school in Tasmania and studied art there.
She arrived in Darwin in 1979 declaring to anyone who would listen (and those who didn’t want to) “nobody lives in Darwin! They just pass through on their way to somewhere else!!
Lillian obviously came to regret those words and has had a wonderful life here ever since first teaching textile art subjects interspersed with exhibitions of her own work and now having the luxury of being a full time artist working from the Tactile Arts studios.
