Traveling through country where the needle-sharp spinifex permeates the vast covering of weather shattered rock. The ground carries the battle scars of forces within and from a long time ago. Boabs hold secrets, gathered over a thousand years as formations of Fluro green budgies, flit between waterholes. A bower bird assembles twigs and soon after the magpie geese return. As the sun sets, rufous owls move to their hunting perch and snack on small mammals. A fragile, ancient landscape, hot and compelling that many of us call home.
