TERRITORY TWILIGHT

Recently I drove through our remote territory outback, on daybreak the sky filled with beautiful illuminated pinks, purples and motherly shades of golds and reds. The glistening sun filled the sky with flashes of intense colour and lit the morning alive in all its glory as the new day broke.
It was magical to watch the colours bursting through with so much intensity. I never tire experiencing the beauty of a Territory sunrise or sunset it really is one of natures magnificent spectacles. So please enjoy ” Territory Twilight” in all its intensity and colour as this is a much loved painting I created with inspiration from our ever changing Territory sky’s.

Artist Statement: My name is Jo Harvey, I am a local Mixed Media Artist. I have lived in the Northern Territory with my husband and 2 beautiful daughters for the past 30 years . I was a successful Hairstylist for many years so I guess you could say that was my introduction to colour and painting . I have always been creative and only started my artistic journey in the last 15 years. I am very diverse with my creativity and love using different mediums on a small and large scale. I am an award winning artist and am inspired by all our natural beauty in the Territory. I have travelled and painted with different Australian artists and continue to learn and grow every day . I love colour it fuels me and I love interacting with people who buy my artworks, every painting tells a story its my story my passion that there taking home with them, and I feel grateful that I can share my love for colour and design with others it really is the best feeling in the world.
