This work speaks to driving the pink dusty roads of North East Arnhem Land. Our life living remote, surrounded by the beauty of this Yolngu Country. The privilege of space, the heavy warmth, the intensity of the sun and the clear blue skies of the dry we so love.

Artist Statement: Hannah van der Wal has lived in the NT for the past 15 years. Currently she resides with her family in Yirrkala, North East Arnhem Land. Her landscapes are steeped in the memory of lived experiences and draw on ideas of impermanence, evolution and constant change, reflecting her internal and external worlds.
