The goal of my art is to capture the essence of my subject using colour and light. I strive to maintain the realism of the image while avoiding an exact replication of the subject. By focusing on these elements, I aim to create a representation that feels authentic and alive, yet distinctly unique and expressive.

Artist Statement: Deanna Field is a self taught artist who lives and works in Darwin’s rural area. Her preferred mediums are soft pastels and oil paints.
Deanna’s artwork encompasses a diverse range of subjects, including landscapes and portraits of both humans and animals. Her unique style can be described as realistic, while also embracing the beauty of simplicity.
